In 2009, Smiskis made their debut and were brought to life by the company Dream Incorporated, by Toru Soeya. After their hit product Sonny Angel, they needed something new that would expand to a wider audience. Soon, they came up with the concept of mysterious creatures that secretly live in homes only coming out during the dark.

Smiskis come in a variety of different series based on what position they may be displayed as. Some of these series include the Moving Series, Dressing Series, Museum Series, @ Work Series, and many more. This variation of figures is also required to create other products including keychains, toothbrush stands, and zipper accessories. One of their most popular products are the Smiski Hippers which have an adhesive allowing you to attach them to almost anything.
