The time which all swimmers have been preparing for has come: the Palomares League Finals.

After countless hours of practice, multiple swim meets, and even hours of team bonding events, the team proved that all their efforts were, in fact, not in vain. Most swimmers on the Ayala swim team who participated in the league preliminaries placed into the final heats, where Ayala ended up taking the crown as the overall Palomares League Champion of the 2025 swim season.

Ayala’s Girls Junior Varsity team went all out, from beginning to end, dominating against the other 5 swim teams. With a winning score of 687, Glendora, the second-place Women’s JV team, only scored 377 points. Alongside Ayala’s Women’s JV, Men’s JV, once again, tread straight to victory, scoring 611 points with Diamond Bar in second place with 379 points.

However, for both of Ayala’s Varsity teams, they were neck-to-neck with the other schools, all hopeful to reach the finish line. Ayala’s Girls Varsity, although close, managed to find their pace and reached the touchpad of victory first. Scoring 449 points, Ayala held the crown, while second-place Glendora scored 360. Although close, Ayala’s Boys Varsity team scored 402 points, 43 points behind first-place Diamond Bar, who scored a total of 445 points, taking the crown.

While the season comes to a close, for some, this isn’t the end. Rather, their biggest competition awaits them at the 2025 Swim CIFs.
