On October 15, Ayala’s Girls volleyball program wrapped up their 2025 season with their final Senior Night game against Bellflower High School with a final score 3-0. While the game itself had many moments, what made this last game especially memorable was the Senior Night ceremony spotlighting our nine seniors:Â Lilianna Acosta, Zara Enriquez, Isabella Hurtado, Claire Kalstrom, Ella Kroeze, Kendall Kroeze, Madison Nguyen, Ada Rivera. Varsity Team Manager Chloe Kalstrom (12) was also celebrated, ending with a night of tears and laughter within the program.

Team Manager, Chloe Kalstrom, walks down with her family and boyfriend as she is recognized for her invaluable assistance to not only Varsity, but the entire program.

Posters decorate the gym walls with names of the girls volleyball’s seniors and pink spirit wear in honor of both Senior Night and Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Varsity Senior Maddie Nguyen accompanied her mom and boyfriend while carrying a gift basket put together by Michelle Wu (10). Maddie’s skills as a setter and constant smile has supported the team throughout her years in the program.

Senior Isabella Hurtado stands with her parents before her high school game. While her assistance this season as a defense specialist (DS) was invaluable, Hurtado especially stood out during Senior Night as she stepped up to the Libero position.

Outside the gym, a table, set up by program’s parents and families, laid decked out with snacks and senior night decor. This serves as only one of the multiple instances of the support team’s funding and assisting towards the program.

Supported on both sides by her parents, senior Zara Enriquez walks down the aisle surrounded by the program’s Bulldogs. Enriquez has not only contributed to the Varsity team this year, but the entire program throughout her years with Ayala’s girls volleyball.

Put together by their family, the senior’s photos from their journey through childhood, high school, and volleyball were pasted onto boards displayed along the wall living in the hallway outside the gym. These posters bring people down memory lane as they symbolize an end to their high school volleyball career and closer to their approaching adult future.

Senior Ada Rivera’s versatility as both a middle blocker and opposite hitter kept the team’s spirit alive when points were down or players were injured. Both a volleyball and basketball athlete, Rivera leaves this season with many accomplishments.

Surrounded by her family and boyfriend, Claire Kalstrom (middle) has demonstrated immense improvement during this season, ultimately leaving the court as an invaluable opposite hitter. Claire’s determination and achievements serve as a shining source of inspiration for future student athletes behind her.

Through the collage of volleyball and childhood photos, Varsity jackets, pink out warm-ups, awards plaques, balloons, and decorations, parents and family of our seniors are commemorated during not only what is the program’s senior night, but their last game of their entire high school career.

Seniors Kendall (left) and Ella (right) Kroeze with their family members as they are celebrated for their contributions throughout their past for years of dedication to the program. Even off the court, both siblings’ warm and bright energy was a notable factor that inspired the team to come together.

While last to be announced, senior Lilli Acosta’s presence as not only a middle blocker, but also a prominent basketball and softball athlete, will definitely last for many years to come. An aggressive offense player on court, Acosta’s skills on the field have already set her softball career with California State University, Long Beach.
