The Junior Varsity (JV) match proved to be more intense, unfolding in a battle that stretched across three sets. After a hard-fought first set, Ayala fell just short, losing 25-27 to the Wolves. However, they came back in the second set, winning at 25-13. The final set was a nail-biter, with both teams fighting for every point, but Ayala ultimately triumphed 15-10, securing the win.
The Varsity team faced a tougher challenge, unable to secure a win against Claremont. Despite their efforts, the Bulldogs came up short, ending the match with a loss.
The evening highlighted Ayala’s determination, particularly in the Frosh and JV matches, as they continued to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. Looking ahead, excitement is building for Senior Night this Tuesday, where the teams will honor their senior players and celebrate their contributions to the program.
