On Thursday, January 16, girls Varsity soccer won their game against Bonita with a final score of 3-1. This brings Ayala’s overall record up to 9-6-1, and their league record is now 3-2. Bonita’s record falls to 6-10-4 overall, and is now 1-2-1 in the league. Ayala remains third in the league, and Bonita stays in fifth. Between the two teams, this was their first match-up of the season and they will face each other again in a few weeks. 

Going into the match, both teams were eager to add a win to their records as they both were coming off of losses. Ayala brought the fire into this match and kept it up during both halves as they were able to score three goals on Bonita. Bonita tried to match the intensity, but they fell short only scoring one goal. 

Ayala’s next game will be Tuesday, January 21, at 5:30 against Glendora at home. Bonita’s next game will also be Tuesday, January 21, at 5:30 against Diamond Bar, and it will be away.
