On Wednesday, January 15, girls Varsity won their game against Diamond Bar with a final score of 18-3. Ayala is nearly undefeated with their overall record being 6-1 overall, and 2-0 in league. Diamond Bar’s record is now 7-5 overall, and they are 2-2 in league standings. As of now, Ayala is in first place in league standings and Diamond Bar is ranked fourth.
Currently, Ayala has not lost a game in over a month and they intended to keep it that way going into this game. They had a lot to lose which included their streak as well as the first place spot in league standings. However, they were not only victorious, winning 18-3, but also won by 15 goals. Diamond Bar put up a good fight but unfortunately they fell short.
Ayala’s next game will be at home on January 21 against Claremont. Diamond Bar’s next game will be on January 23 at 4:00 against Claremont which will be held away. These two teams will meet again on January 24 at 4:00, this time at Ayala.
