"I do think that the juniors' class competition [performance] was really good, but I would say that everyone did great and put in a lot of effort," Kieza Martinez (10) said. On October 15, Ayala Varsity Flag Football celebrated their class of 2025 seniors during their last home game before the end of their season.
Prior to the start of the game, each of the five seniors for the 2024-2025 season were introduced by an announcer and pictures were taken of them with their families and teammates. Commemorated were seniors Brooklee Harris, Jazlynn Rojas, Mariah Sanchez, Mckenzy Becerra, and Mireya Castro.
During the beginning of the first half, both Ayala and Bonita were able to score points, making the score an even 6-6. During halftime, Ayala took time to make their plan to hopefully score and win the game.
Bonita ended up scoring one more touchdown with an extra point, making the final score 13-6.
Varsity Girls Flag Football is now 19-7 in overall scores.
