As Dear Asian Youth (DAY) club and South Asian Culture Club (SACC) continues to inform students on campus regarding subjects of Asian culture, they recently collaborated together to host a DAY x SACC Art Festival. This festival featured a wide range of art forms from origami to digital pieces.

About the display

Art plays an important role in society, shaping cultures, and building better understanding of mankind. It is an expressive medium that creates powerful emotions, moving the viewer. Art can spread important messages and ideas, and has been a vital part of many Asian cultures for millenia. Ayala DAY (Dear Asian Youth) and SACC (South Asian Culture Club), two clubs here on campus, have compiled a portfolio of art from some of their members that incorporate themes of Asian culture, helping them pursue their goals of educating the community about Asian cultures. These pieces provide a look into traditions, customs, pop culture, and cultural practices across East and Southeast Asia, including Lunar New Year celebrations and South Asian culture.
