On Saturday, December 7, Ayala’s freshmen boys basketball team suffered a 76-57 defeat to Santiago’s Sharks. This match was a part of Ayala High School’s Dogfight Tournament.
Despite strong individual performances, Ayala struggled to keep pace with Santiago’s both fast, efficient offense and defense. The Bulldogs were unable to recover after falling behind early, though they showed resilience throughout the game.
Ayala will look to learn from this tough loss and focus on improving for the remainder of the tournament as well as their games. This loss sets the team back to an 8-2 overall record, but this season still has many surprises yet to come.
