Ayala’s boys basketball program had an unforgettable night, sweeping all three levels against Montebello’s Oilers on Monday, December 9. The freshman, Junior Varsity (JV), and Varsity teams all put on outstanding performances, making Ayala proud.
The freshman team got things started with a victorious 60-26 win. Their solid defense and great communication helped build an early lead that Montebello had no chance against.
The JV team followed with a 71-27 win, with balanced scoring and relentless defense as they shut down Montebello’s offensive efforts throughout the game.
The Varsity team topped off the night with an 81-48 victory, controlling the game from start to finish. With standout performances from many players, Ayala’s offense and defense were simply too much for the Oilers to handle.
With all three teams securing impressive victories, Ayala continues to show its strength as the season progresses, leaving the students, teachers, and parents of Ayala excited for what’s to come. The next game will be held at home against Marquez’s Gladiators on Thursday, December 12.
