On Tuesday, January 14, the Ayala Girls Basketball Varsity team faced off against another league opponent in the Claremont Wolfpack. Although the teams faced off previously in a tournament style game back in December, this game will mark the first of two games played in a league setting. Being at Ayala, the Bulldogs had a home court advantage once again against a tough Claremont team.
In a close battle, Claremont came out victorious, topping Ayala 45-49 to make two wins in a row against the Ayala Varsity team. In their previous meeting, the Bulldogs lost 46-27 to the Wolfpack, showing a sign of progress to hopefully beat them in their second to last game of the season toward the end of January. Ayala now sits at 9-12 in the season, looking to snap their three game losing streak against a highly ranked Bonita team on Thursday, January 16.
