On Thursday, January 23, girls Varsity water polo won their game against Glendora with a final score of 7-6. Ayala’s record is now 7-1 overall, and they ranked first in league standings with a record of 2-0. Glendora’s overall record is now 9-3, and they are second in the league at 2-0.
So far, Ayala’s girls water polo team has only lost one game this season and going into this game, they were eager to keep it that way. However, Glendora was prepared to destroy that streak and advance to the first place spot. This was an extremely challenging game for both teams as Ayala only managed to win by one point. At the end of the game, the score was 7-6 with Ayala taking the lead.
Ayala’s next game will be Tuesday, January 28 against Diamond Bar at 8:00 p.m. and it is away. Glendora’s next game will also be against Diamond Bar on the same day, except it will be at 6:45 p.m.
