Commanders vs. Eagles
An extremely competitive match between two of the best teams in the National Football Conference (NFC) is only one way to describe this game. The Eagles who are ranked first in the NFC East, and the Commanders who follow shortly after in second, played for the title of NFC champions and a ticket to the Super Bowl. In a previous game between the two this season, the Commanders barely won 36-33. However, this time the Eagles took massive strides in securing an invitation to the Super Bowl after winning 55-33 with eight touchdowns scored. The Eagles took the lead early in the game, scoring four touchdowns whereas the Commanders only scored one and kicked a number of field goals. At halftime, the score was set at 27-15 and it seemed to be an easy win for the Eagles. By the end of the third quarter the Commanders were catching up as they were at 34-23. In the fourth quarter though, the Eagles came in hot and scored three more touchdowns and left the Commanders with none. Majority of the points were scored after runs from quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. In two weeks, the Eagles will be in New Orleans to play the rematch of their career.
Chiefs vs. Bills
Looking at these two teams, this game could have gone any way as the Chiefs have pretty much gone undefeated this season; however, the Bills were their only loss. One team undoubtedly played a cleaner game though and only winning by three points, the Chiefs will advance to the Super Bowl. Unlike the other conference championship, these two teams were almost neck and neck in points all throughout the game. However, it came down to missed two-point conversions that could have tied the game and a much needed first down on the Bills side that cost them the game. At the end of the game, the score was 32-29 and the Chiefs will have a chance for their three-peat and they secured their position as American Football Conference (AFC) champions.
Super Bowl: Sunday, February 9 at 3:30
The Chiefs will be competing in their third super bowl in a row and if they win, they will be the first team to three-peat. However, the Eagles, who they faced for their first win, will try not to let that happen as this is their chance for a rematch. This will be a must-watch game as these are two of the best teams to ever see the league, and fans are determined that it could go either way.
