On Tuesday, January 28, girls Varsity soccer won their game against Diamond Bar with a final score of 8-0. Ayala’s record is now 11-6-2 overall, and ranked second in league standings, with their record at 5-2-1. Diamond Bar’s record is now 3-14 overall, and they are 1-7 in the league. 

In both halves of the game, Ayala dominated, scoring six goals in the first half, and two goals in the second. Diamond Bar was able to tighten up their defense in the second half; however, they allowed too many goals in the first and were not able to come back. Ayala’s Junior Varsity team also won their game and shutout Diamond Bar as well, 4-0. 

Ayala’s next game will be Thursday, January 30 at 6:00 against Claremont. This is Ayala’s senior night and the ceremony will start at 5:00, one hour prior to the game. Diamond Bar’s next game will be Thursday, January 30 against Walnut at 5:30. Both of these games will be held on each team’s home field.
