Ayala produces outstanding results in recent swim meet

Both Ayala and Claremont’s Varsity boys swim team wait for the referee to blow his whistle to race in backstroke.

On April 2, the Ayala Swim team participated in a match against Claremont High School in an overall successful meet.

All the swim and diving teams came through and scored high against Claremont. The Girls Junior Varsity (JV) swimming team garnered 119 points against Claremont’s 34 points. The Girls Varsity swimming team came up with 103.5 points compared to Claremont’s 66.5 points. The Boys JV swim team garnered 132 points against Claremon’ts 35. Finally, the Boys Varsity swim team scored 124 points while Claremont scored 46.

The swim team as a whole came through to come up with amazing results, and hopefully, they will keep this successful streak going in their next meet against Diamond Bar on April 3.

Marijose Rodriguez (10) is a staff writer, and this is her 1st year with the Bulldog Times. She is excited to be joining the program and is eager to learn more about journalism. She looks forward to building relationships with the other staff, as well as with other people and students around campus. Marijose has high hopes to learn more from her peers and work on her writing skills. In her free time, Marijose enjoys various activities such as reading, eating, playing flag football, and hanging out with her family and friends. She also enjoys watching movies, going to the beach, and traveling.

Kaylani Hsu, Sports Editor

Kaylani Hsu (10) is the Sports Editor of the Bulldog Times, and this is her second year with the staff. This year, Kaylani hopes to grow her skills and help others find a passion in journalistic writing while promoting a positive environment in the department. She loves sea otters, chocolate, sour cream Ruffles, and going to the beach. Her favorite pastimes are binge-watching K-dramas, taking naps, reading romance or fantasy books, and playing volleyball with her friends. Kaylani is also the social media manager of Ayala’s Heart Club, but hopes to join more clubs and get involved with the school community this year.
