[Photo Essay] F1 rally spirit week unites student body
As students race through the school year, sometimes it’s nice to slow down with the help of rallies and spirit weeks. It is important for students to find a sense of community and pride in their school along with also focusing on their academics. This well-rounded spirit is what it takes to be a Bulldog. On Friday, November 14, an F1-themed rally was held to raise the spirits of our students, or racers, and allow them to show off their Bulldog pride.Â
Although it was a shorter week with only three available spirit days leading up to the rally, Ayala students still showed out and wore their spirit wear with undeniable swag and confidence. Here are some snippets of students’ comfortable and casual fashion choices during the week of November 12 to 14.
After a long four-day weekend, the United Student Body (USB) knew that the students of Ayala would be too lazy to put on a full fit. Thankfully, “Pit Stop Day” allowed students to come to campus most comfortably. As you looked across the courtyard, all you saw were plaid and patterned sweatpants, further uniting every student into one especially sleepy community.
Sierra Pye (10) and Haylee Reams (10) looking warm and cozy in their red and blue plaid print pajamas pants. They express their bulldog pride with a relaxing finesse.
Emma Gandara (10) is wearing the cutest pajama pants with a print of characters from the hit cartoon “Smiling Friends.” As she smiles with the iconic characters, she becomes a walking bundle of joy and warmth.
Emma Egbalic (10) and Ian Chen (10) keep themselves comfortable in baggy sweatpants and pajama pants, along with some soft hoodies. They reached peak comfort with the looseness in their clothes. The baggier the better!
As the holiday season is coming up, it is common for students to want to cuddle up with someone. However, a main issue with this is that students don’t know who is already taken or not. Luckily, with “Stoplight Day,” students were able to represent their relationship status, either being single and wearing green, complicated and wearing yellow, or taken and wearing red. Couples were able to show off their relationships, and singles were able to show off their search for companionship.Â
Claire Cho (10) is standing alone but still making sure her peers know she’s taken by a guy from another school by wearing a stylish stop sign red sweater. She expresses her romantic status most fashionably.
Isaiah Bolden (10) is using the sandwich method with his matching green shirt and shoes. He lets his peers know that, despite his impressive fashion skills, he is not yet tied down.Â
Lucky Zhang (10) and Bryson Caganap (10) are looking like couple goals as they wear matching red tops. They walk around side-by-side proudly displaying their happiness as a pair.
Just like every other rally, “Rep Your Racer Day” got students to rep their class colors with pride. With the seniors wearing purple, juniors wearing pink, sophomores wearing blue, and freshmen wearing yellow, the Ayala campus looked like a collection of fun, luxury race cars. Within the stands of the rally, unity between peers shone brightly with the large crowds of matching colors between each section.
Jenise Chan (11) and Marijose Rodriguez (11) represent the junior class of 2027 in matching pastel pink tops. They smile with confidence as they highlight their school spirit.
Kirra Allen (10) and Lillith Kowalski (10) are wearing all blue to proudly show off their sophomore pride. With their blue denim and sweaters, these lovely ladies obviously love their school spirit.
Skylar Fletcher (9) and Kailyn Mom (9) are matching in pastel yellow to represent their freshman class. Being new to our campus this school year, they proudly show their pride in being a brand new Bulldog.
