After a decade of the disadvantage of being only online, Big Baller Brand surmounted this issue by opening its first-ever physical store in the heart of Chino Hills, The Shoppes, at the beginning of 2026.

Big Baller Brand (BBB) was created in 2016 by Alan Foster and LaVar Ball, father of the illustrious basketball players, Lamelo, Lonzo, and Liangelo Ball. The brand is known for luxurious clothing and shoes, most notably including signature shoes for the Ball Brothers. The three brothers led the 2016 Chino Hills High school boys basketball team to an undefeated 35-0 record and unsurprisingly won the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Open Division title and the State Open Division Championship, cementing themselves in history as one of the greatest high school sports teams.

“It means hype to me personally, especially back in 2016 when the Chino Hills Huskies were popular since the Ball Brothers and the way they would play the game of basketball at such a high level,” Sufyan Asrar (11) said about his reaction to the Big Baller Store opening.

Even though Lonzo and Lamelo have moved on to more popular brands like Puma in recent years, with Lonzo himself voicing concerns about their quality and hinting that they possibly could have been a factor in the knee and leg injuries that have plagued most of his tenure in the National Basketball Association (NBA), BBB remains popular in the Chino Hills area. This is mostly due in part to their outspoken and humorous owner, LaVar Ball. Back in 2018, in response to recent criticism about exorbitant prices for Lonzo’s signature shoe, ZO2s, he shot back on the social media platform Twitter, saying, “If you can’t afford the ZO2s, you’re NOT a BIG BALLER!”

“You know what they’re gonna take out of this? Family is everything, Triple Bs. That’s what it is. It’s a family brand,” LaVar Ball said in response to what people will think about his new opening.

The store’s interior does not fall short of Ball’s description, as you are met with pictures of the Ball family and multiple framed jerseys from each one of the members of the prominent family when you enter the store. These include mementos from Lamelo’s time on the Charlotte Hornets, Lonzo’s time on the New Orleans Pelicans, his unfortunate injury-plagued stint on the Chicago Bulls, and several more that showcase the Big Baller Brand’s commitment to family.

The design doesn’t fall short of the Big Baller name, as the sleek layout is unlike any other store in the local area, with the marble floor, which maintains a luxury feel. Not to mention, the glass displays that show limited-edition Big Baller merch and other items key to the Ball legacy. The store also has multiple TVs around the store that show highlights of the Ball Brothers’ games and life. The back of the store is just as impressive as it holds the set for the Big Baller Podcast, a pool table, and a custom embroidery shop, which can stitch shoes in just a few minutes.  Also different from locally-owned stores is the fact that LaVar is constantly at the store ready to take photos, hand out signatures, and have meaningful conversations with excited fans and customers. It’s something that isn’t seen nowadays, highlighting LaVar Ball’s intense dedication to the Chino Hills community.

“You got a father who raised the kids, who put a store where he raised the kids. Who is doing that? You can’t even write that,” LaVar Ball said about the store’s impact.

LaVar Ball’s evolution from a “failed athlete” to a renowned multimillionaire father and founder of the now physical Big Baller Brand will have a drastic impact on the future of the company. This includes the many other stores Ball plans to open in the coming years, as his dedication to his hometown is something that is unheard of in the retail industry.
