As we are still early in the year and continue to keep up with our New Year’s Resolutions, chaos can begin to affect your day-to-day lifestyle. Simple tasks can become more daunting, life becomes overwhelming, and motivation begins to fade. Although the list of tasks that must be completed by the end of the week, month, or year becomes increasingly frightening, a way to make it more manageable is by romanticizing your tasks. Romanticizing is a way of making certain daunting or frightful things more beautiful and filling them with the desire to accomplish.

Bright Colors
A method that works effectively is using bright colors that match each other to spice up the attractiveness of tasks. Whether it be for taking notes or adding tasks to your calendar, putting color into it makes it much more appealing to the eyes. Additionally, with each color included and added, it can create more categories that can help to organize your tasks or notes. By having each color come together to create a beautiful aesthetic, you’re able to create a product that motivates you to complete more tasks that become easier to accomplish. However, the real key to keeping up with this romanticism is to continue being consistent.
When you need a creative space for setting goals, Pinterest always comes in handy. Pinterest is a creative space that will allow you to make either a mood board or a vision board to set your own goals. Making these creative spaces, it allows you to have a physical visualization of either what you want to accomplish or achieve. Additionally, by having these organized boards, you’re able to bring these visions into your life without any clutter. Another method that works well with romanticizing your chaos is small rewards.
Rewards
After completing each goal or task, there is likely a feeling of emptiness left within you without anything to fill it. However, a simple miniature award after each task or goal is the way to fill this hole. These rewards can pretty much be anything, ranging from a short break from work, a big purchase that has been on your mind, a small piece of chocolate, or even making a music playlist. The reward can be anything as long as it continues to keep you motivated to continue working. Additionally, by giving yourself these rewards, you are left with a feeling of accomplishment that can continue to motivate you to reach more of your goals or tasks.

Through romanticizing your chaos, the continuously growing list of tasks and goals that are planned to be accomplished this year becomes less frightening. Romanticizing the mundane aspect of life lets you keep yourself in order while simultaneously adding more joy to your life. Whether it be rewarding yourself after a small task, completing a big goal that has been extremely difficult, or updating your planner, all of the stress begins to shrink. Adding a dash of color into your planner or calendar allows you to bring joy into planning and looking at all of the things that have been accomplished throughout the year is a beautiful thing to look back on. By romanticizing the chaos that constantly fills your life, tasks and goals for the year are not as frightening with the hints of color or miniature rewards that fill your life.
