Some days, coming to school can seem like the dreariest, most arduous task one could ever ask a teenager to commit. It is associated with a permanent gloom, as gray and shadowy as the thoughts of an upcoming test or a dreadful presentation. Anxiety, indifference, and fear often cloud students’ high school experience.

That is why it is so important to find and seek color in everyday tasks and routines, especially at school. Artfully decorated classrooms with motivational quotes, student projects, or silly posters can go a long way to break students out of their despair. Ayala’s colorful environment should be celebrated for the much needed vibrancy it brings to students’ days.
