DRX’s top laner, Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon, was named the 2022 Worlds final MVP after his improbable performance during the series.

The Championship dates were from September 29 to November 5, with the Quarterfinals on October 20-23 in Madison Square Garden in New York City; Semifinals on October 29-30 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and the grand finals on Saturday, November 5 at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Twenty four teams from 11 regions participated in the World Championship and the finals were between T1 and DRX who were both from the League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK). Quite obviously, T1 was the team that was favored most by fans while DRX’s continuous victories led many to wonder if the underdog would prevail. After a fierce 47 minute battle, the underdog proved their potential as they won the tournament and took first place. Both teams and the millions of fans wept in flurry as the 2022 LoL World Championships came to an end.
