On Friday September 20, our Varsity Football team went up against Glendora’s Tartans at the Homecoming game. The theme was a Night on Mount Olympus, which the United Student Body (USB) class desired to convey through the backdrop displayed during halftime and class officer floats. Each class had themes, the class of 2028 representing the goddess of love, 2027 with the god of thunder, 2026 had the goddess of nature, and the class of 2025 had the god of water.

After the class officers walked the field with their floats and our band and American Sign Language (ASL) club performed the national anthem, the game was ready to begin. As the first quarter began both teams started strong, keeping the score at 0-0 until a touchdown was made by Glendora #4 Austin Coronado (12) in the last few minutes.

The second quarter started with Glendora up by 7 until Ayala made an early touchdown, bringing the score to a tie. Shortly after, Glendora brought their score up to 14 with another touchdown. The tension was rising as the Tartans began to bring the heat. As the quarter progressed, Glendora made another two touchdowns, bringing their score to 22.

With the Tartans in the lead, our Bulldogs put in their greatest efforts in the final quarters. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs scored and brought the score to 22-13. In the final quarter, the team put in their greatest efforts to beat the Tartans. Unfortunately, the game ended with a score of 27-14, Glendora leaving the field victorious. Despite this outcome, our Bulldogs put in their utmost efforts to make the homecoming game as enjoyable as possible to kick off the Homecoming weekend.
