    Girls Varsity Basketball beats Colony at their first Home game

    Girls varsity narrowly beat out Colony in a recent game at home.

    The Ayala Girls varsity basketball team beat the Colony High School Titans with an ending score of 52-40. After their devastating loss to Glendora High School in their first league away game, The lady Bulldogs jumped back to win 2 of 4 tournament games and their first league home game against the Titans.

    This win sets their overall record to 8-11 and their league record as 1-1. The Varsity girls Colony team sets their overall record with this loss as 10-9, and their league record as 0-1. The Titans are set on to play Claremont High School at the Wolfpack Stadium this Wednesday, going against their record of 12-6 and league record of 1-1. The Ayala Bulldogs face the Bonita Bearcats at their home, who hold an overall collection of 11-6 wins and a 1-1 matching league record, making this game an exciting one.

    Ayushka Chethan is a sophomore reporter for the Bulldog Times. This is her first year as part of the Bulldog Times staff and she is excited to challenge herself with new writing techniques and learning about different interviewing styles she can use when preparing for writing an article. Ayushka looks forward to working in the sports department and hopefully publishing many articles having to do with many sports she is familiar with such as football and basketball. Outside of working in journalism, Ayushka is part of the girls JV basketball team, and enjoys spending her free time watching highlights from recent NFL or NBA games. Ayushka enjoys listening to music, sketching, hanging out with friends, and going to games with family.

    David Jung (10) is a writer for the Bulldog Times, and this is his 1st year on staff. David hopes to write articles for future members to read and for them to write stories that will surpass his own. He looks forward to seeing how the process will work out and seeing all members in action. He is also part of the Ayala Tennis team, being in J.V . In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, listening to music, making model kits, reading all kinds of books, eating many sweets, and taking good naps (if he can in the first place).
