Even though all juniors must take the CAASPP test, not everyone takes it seriously despite incentives. “I think that weve tried our best to stress the importance of the test, so hopefully that is coming across within [students] own attitudes towards [the CAASPP], English 10 Honors and AP Language teacher Mrs. Alexis Sjol said.

The most difficult part of coordinating the showcase for ASL teacher Mrs. Natalie Cooney is coordinating with students for practice. coordinating with the students. I have lots of students who are into a lot of things so one thing thats very difficult is coordinating time to make sure that everyones schedule works together so we can practice for the showcase, Cooney said.

Chloe Wang (12) exhibits leadership and perseverance as she takes on the role of Lieutenant Governor for her Key Club division and officer positions in many different Ayala clubs. Taking on various responsibilities allows Wang to explore her passion for serving her community. Hoping to figure out her next path, her impressive involvement gives her many options before she soon graduates.

Aiden Choe (12) developed pneumothorax during late September which caused him to go on medical leave for the rest of the first semester. While on independent study, Aiden Choe overcame many hardships, yet here he stands today as one of the best of us.

Milena Leonis (12) is president of Ayala Choir. Still, Leonis stays involved in community endeavors such as Chino Community Theatre, arts, and dancing. Im most grateful for Milenas supportiveness and unconditional love for everybody in our program... she interacts with everybody with nothing but love and compassion, said choir director Mr. Davis.

Trinity Phillips, Staff Writer

Trinity likes to watch scary movies, draw, write, and read books for fun. She is in ADP (Ayala Dance Production), BSU (Black Student Union), and used to play soccer when she was younger. Trinity loves watching plays, football games, and going to events at school and wants to go to everything since it's her last year in high school. Her favorite memory of Ayala so far for her senior year would be the friend group she has. They make her happy and they are all close so they know and hope they will be friends after high school and for a long time. Since Trinity loves to write she thought being in journalism would be fun and something different. Her goals for journalism would be to write better news stories and try to get the audience interested in reading it.
