Varsity football’s tremendous win against Glendora takes them to 3-3

Ayala faced Glendora in an away matchup coming off a loss to Citrus Valley, plummeting them to a score of 49-14.

Ayala’s varsity’s football team took the game against Glendora High School 49-14, making their start of the season record 3-3 and Glendora’s a 4-3 record. The game began with a pass complete touchdown by Glendora, followed by a successful kick. Ayala responded with a rushing touchdown with a failed attempt for a two-point conversion, ending the first quarter.

The second quarter began with a successful touchdown from Ayala with a one yard pass, followed by a successful PAT, making the score 13-7.

Glendora soon led the game by one point after a touchdown and kick, but Ayala made a tremendous difference with an incredible three touchdowns assisted by two successful PATs and a two-point conversion, ending the half with the score of 35-14, with Ayala leading the game.

The final score ended with Ayala winning 49-14 after scoring two more rushing touchdowns followed by two successful PATs.

Ayushka looks forward to working in the sports department and hopefully publishing many articles having to do with many sports she is familiar with such as football and basketball. Outside of working in journalism, Ayushka is part of the girls JV basketball team, and enjoys spending her free time watching highlights from recent NFL or NBA games. Ayushka enjoys listening to music, sketching, hanging out with friends, and going to games with family.
