After the success of their previous records, our girls in the Varsity Softball team continue to push forward in their league as they win against Alta Loma Braves.

On Monday, Ayala’s Bulldogs took on the Alta Loma Braves. The Bulldogs had a 13-3 record prior to the game, while the Braves held a 7-8 record, giving Ayala the upper hand going into this match. Ultimately, the Bulldogs took the victory in high-scoring fashion, winning over the Alta Loma Braves with a score of 11-0.

The first inning was quiet on both ends, as neither team scored any runs in their respective half. In the top of the second inning, the Ayala Bulldogs scored 2 runs against the Braves’ defense. In the bottom half of the inning, the Braves were unable to respond, putting the score at 2-0 in Ayala’s favor early into the game.

In the third inning, Ayala’s offense continued their streak. The Bulldogs scored another seven runs in their chance to bat. The Braves were unable to put up runs of their own in the third inning. This put the score at 9-0 going into the fourth inning.

In both the fourth and fifth innings, the Bulldogs scored one run. The Braves were unable to score any runs in either inning. This put the score at 10-0 after the fourth, and 11-0 after the fifth. The victory was secured for the Bulldogs with a final score of 11-0.

Ayala’s Zoey Hipolito (11) had an impressive performance at the plate in her three appearances, having two hits, four Run Batted In (RBIs), and a home run. Juniors McKenzy Becerra, Marisa Dominguez, and Senior Ryanna Alano all hit doubles in their at bats.
