In Saturday’s non-league outing on November 26, the Ayala varsity basketball team won the San Gabriel High School Thanksgiving Tournament against Gahr. The game began at 7:50 pm and lasted until 9:12 pm. As they played, the Bulldogs maintained a higher score than Gahr in every quarter of the game, leaving the final score against the Gladiators at 63-39. The Ayala Bulldogs basketball team overwhelmingly outperformed the neutral tournament game against their host, the Gahr Gladiators, as they previously held high spirits after a victory that upgraded their record to 1-3. 

As of this tournament, Ayala’s varsity team scoring average is at a 60.2 while Gahr’s team average falls at a 47.8. With the win, the Bulldogs now sport a 3-3 record on the season. Their next tournament is on Monday, November 28, where the Bulldogs will prepare to go against the Warriors for another non-league neutral contest. The Patriot Warriors currently hold a record at 3-1 after their recent victory against the Rubidoux Falcons. Will Ayala overwhelm Patriot like they did against Gahr or will Patriot outpace Ayala and upgrade their score?
