Isabel Sim, Features Editor

Isabel Sim (11) is the features editor of the Bulldog Times, and this is her third year on staff. Isabel hopes to tell the stories of the senior class one installment at a time, through the Bulldogs of Ayala personality profile series. She also hopes to inspire others to dig deeper into the stories around them and find opportunities to channel her creativity and love for Asian language and culture. In between articles for journalism, she participates in FindKind, Leo Club, and HEAL Club. Outside of school, she enjoys reading science fiction, writing poetry about food, taking walks in the rain, watching kdramas, and hiking the trails of Eucalyptus. Isabel appreciates the friendliness and passion of the people she has met at Ayala.

Environmental Science (APES) students discuss their experiences in the class, which poses the question--is APES Ayalas easiest AP or simply mimicry? While some find the content-heavy memorization challenging, others find its hands-on learning style fitting for those hesitant to take a science AP course.

I really took away that practice is the only thing that can get you up there. No matter how skilled your competitors are or how well known they are. Its all about who puts in more effort and [more] quality time [practicing]. Competitions are never about winning or losing. Its just about gaining experiences and learning your lessons. Winning, obviously, is a great feeling, but with losing, you cant view it as something negative. As long as you make sure that you dont repeat the same mistake and take away something important from the competition, [you should be fine], Tiffany Kye (12), graduating staff reporter of the Bulldog Times said.
