Even though all juniors must take the CAASPP test, not everyone takes it seriously despite incentives. “I think that weve tried our best to stress the importance of the test, so hopefully that is coming across within [students] own attitudes towards [the CAASPP], English 10 Honors and AP Language teacher Mrs. Alexis Sjol said.

The most difficult part of coordinating the showcase for ASL teacher Mrs. Natalie Cooney is coordinating with students for practice. coordinating with the students. I have lots of students who are into a lot of things so one thing thats very difficult is coordinating time to make sure that everyones schedule works together so we can practice for the showcase, Cooney said.

Chloe Wang (12) exhibits leadership and perseverance as she takes on the role of Lieutenant Governor for her Key Club division and officer positions in many different Ayala clubs. Taking on various responsibilities allows Wang to explore her passion for serving her community. Hoping to figure out her next path, her impressive involvement gives her many options before she soon graduates.

Aiden Choe (12) developed pneumothorax during late September which caused him to go on medical leave for the rest of the first semester. While on independent study, Aiden Choe overcame many hardships, yet here he stands today as one of the best of us.

Milena Leonis (12) is president of Ayala Choir. Still, Leonis stays involved in community endeavors such as Chino Community Theatre, arts, and dancing. Katelyn Jimenez is an outgoing and compassionate person, she is a 16 year old Junior at Ayala High School. Her interests in Journalism and the Bulldog Times are to put out ideas students and staff may view as interesting, resourceful, impactful, and relevant. She loves to write and can make any story interesting. She is part of the Imagination Studios club at her high school and her role is secretary which is the role to handle the funding the club gets and any fundraisers the club participates in. She is also on her high school soccer team and on a club team, SoCal Elite, outside of school. She spends most of her time on her phone watching Tik Tok,  going on Instagram, shopping, or watching unsolved crime mysteries on YouTube. Her favorite memory at Ayala was attending Battle of the Bone freshman year with her friends.

It’s able to help shape the understanding of the medical field. We’re able to have a lot of guest speakers and different workshops where they’re able to just kind of decide where they want to go in the future when it comes to the medical field, Vice President of Ayala Pre-Med said.
