Even though all juniors must take the CAASPP test, not everyone takes it seriously despite incentives. “I think that weve tried our best to stress the importance of the test, so hopefully that is coming across within [students] own attitudes towards [the CAASPP], English 10 Honors and AP Language teacher Mrs. Alexis Sjol said.

The most difficult part of coordinating the showcase for ASL teacher Mrs. Natalie Cooney is coordinating with students for practice. coordinating with the students. I have lots of students who are into a lot of things so one thing thats very difficult is coordinating time to make sure that everyones schedule works together so we can practice for the showcase, Cooney said.

Chloe Wang (12) exhibits leadership and perseverance as she takes on the role of Lieutenant Governor for her Key Club division and officer positions in many different Ayala clubs. Taking on various responsibilities allows Wang to explore her passion for serving her community. Hoping to figure out her next path, her impressive involvement gives her many options before she soon graduates.

Aiden Choe (12) developed pneumothorax during late September which caused him to go on medical leave for the rest of the first semester. While on independent study, Aiden Choe overcame many hardships, yet here he stands today as one of the best of us.

Milena Leonis (12) is president of Ayala Choir. Still, Leonis stays involved in community endeavors such as Chino Community Theatre, arts, and dancing. Cody Flores, Staff Writer

Cody Flores (12) is a staff member of The Bulldog Times and this is his first year on the team. He hopes to become one of the best writers and challenges himself to write more creatively and make articles more intriguing and appealing to readers. He looks forward to working with his fellow members to create articles covering events and learning how to write more creatively. Besides being included in The Bulldog Times, he spends his time studying in the library for his most challenging classes and is thinking about joining the Japanese club. While school is not in session, he enjoys  listening to music, drawing, and watching anime. He is included on a team called CSB which is part of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic church.  Cody enjoys the dances that Ayala hosts and is looking forward to going to this year's senior prom.

All in all, art is Spellman’s passion and what drives him in his daily life as he helps students realize their passions and potential. Every year he is blessed with the opportunity to pass on skills to new generations and bring out the best in everyone. Being one of the most inspirational teachers he deserves so much recognition for everything he does and his hard work. Also inspiring others to be themselves and not be afraid of what others think. His message to everyone: don’t stop being you, for only happiness can be found within yourself and what you do.
