Even though all juniors must take the CAASPP test, not everyone takes it seriously despite incentives. “I think that weve tried our best to stress the importance of the test, so hopefully that is coming across within [students] own attitudes towards [the CAASPP], English 10 Honors and AP Language teacher Mrs. Alexis Sjol said.

The most difficult part of coordinating the showcase for ASL teacher Mrs. Natalie Cooney is coordinating with students for practice. coordinating with the students. I have lots of students who are into a lot of things so one thing thats very difficult is coordinating time to make sure that everyones schedule works together so we can practice for the showcase, Cooney said.

Chloe Wang (12) exhibits leadership and perseverance as she takes on the role of Lieutenant Governor for her Key Club division and officer positions in many different Ayala clubs. Taking on various responsibilities allows Wang to explore her passion for serving her community. Hoping to figure out her next path, her impressive involvement gives her many options before she soon graduates.

Aiden Choe (12) developed pneumothorax during late September which caused him to go on medical leave for the rest of the first semester. While on independent study, Aiden Choe overcame many hardships, yet here he stands today as one of the best of us.

Milena Leonis (12) is president of Ayala Choir. Still, Leonis stays involved in community endeavors such as Chino Community Theatre, arts, and dancing. Teresa Huang, a sophomore here at Ayala Highschool whose goal in Journalism is to improve more on her speaking and writing skills. For the Bulldog Times page she would love to help make the page look colorful and the neatest as possible that includes good information about the school. Some extracurricular activities that she participates here at Ayala is that she is on the Ayala Dance Production also known as “ADP.” She loves to dance and express herself through dancing especially when it is with her friends. Some other activities that she recently participated in are joining some clubs such as, hope for paws, operation smile, and key club. Some things that she loves to do are to hangout with her friends, participate in anything that relates to dance, and modeling that she hopes to continue in the future as well. Lastly, her favorite memory so far here at Ayala would be attending some of the football games, mainly the bigger ones like Battle of the Bone and the Homecoming football game that she performed at during halftime.
